Happy Birthday to my mom today. She’s reached a major milestone. She’s hit the BIG 60. Mom – you are still so young. You can still pass for 40 in my books. That must make me 20, right
I have no idea what’s going on with my skin lately. I’m not sure if it’s the insane amount of Halloween candy I’ve consumed over the last month or if my hormones are changing. Either way, I have been breaking out majorly. I’m talking nasty blemishes. It’s ridiculous really. I feel like I should be a teenager again. Funny enough, I never really suffered from any abnormal acne as a kid. Go figure. I guess it’s my time!
Anyhow, I’ve been on the hunt for a full coverage concealer for a while to cover up the nasty blemishes. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a quick fix concealer made by Dermablend.
This concealer is great. It comes in a small lipstick style tube. It’s easy to carry around in your purse or pocket. It provides full coverage. This product will definitely last me a long time. I don’t have to use a lot of it.
I take a bit on my finger and dab it gently on to any spots I want to cover up. It’s important to be well moisturized before tapping it onto the skin. The product doesn’t glide well for me. But it does stay put once applied and lasts all day. It doesn’t cake or crack for me at all.
I wish I had selected this product 1 shade darker. I chose “natural” for fair skin. I feel it’s a little too light for my colouring. I’m still able to use it though. I’ve just been mixing it in with some left over Mac liquid concealer. The two have been great at covering up my unwanted spots. I’m terrible at finding the right shade of foundation and concealer on a good day, never mind picking it out online.
I’ve yet to try the Dermablend concealer under my eyes to cover up dark circles. This might actually work well with the shade I have.
This product is great for anyone looking to cover up scaring, tattoos, blemishes, age spots, and freckles.
