I don’t know about you but the winter is killer on my lips. They are so dry, it’s disgusting. They crack. They peel. TMI, I know. But it happens.
My lipstick never looks good on dry lips. It always looks cakey. I was on the hunt for a lip scrub or conditioner when I stumbled on this recipe.
What can I say? It totally ROCKS. It works, for reals. I’ve even used it on Angel #1 who has the most chapped lips in the family. So much so, it looks like she has a third lip.
The stuff is so easy to make with 4 simple ingredients found in your kitchen. It takes 2 minutes to whip up. It smells great. It doesn’t burn the lips and it lasts. The best part, it tastes great. So if you find yourself hungry while doing a lip scrub, feel free to lick it off.
You will need a measuring spoon, a container or bowl and sugar, coconut oil, olive oil and honey. It’s that easy! I used about a tbsp for most and mixed them together. Rub a pea sized amount onto your lips. I now have a scrub to last the rest of the dryer months.
Try it and then let me know what you think. Your lips will thank me. (The photos are in b&w. I had to. It looked like a sample of something else altogether.)
