DIY Curling Wand

I suck at curling my hair with a regular curling iron. For some reason, I struggle with the clamp and end up leaving my hair crinkled. I have watched endless YouTube videos on how to do it right. People make it look so easy. I think not.

I purchased a clipless curling wand a long time ago. It is a Conair and it is tapered. I love it but it is small. It leaves tight curls. So I don’t like using it all the time. I like to change up the curl size from time to time.

I had a 1 1/2 inch curling iron (with clip) in my hair drawer and decided to make my own clipless wand. It was super simple to do and it is so easy to use. I keep all the bits & parts in a baggy just in case I ever want to re-assemble.

This wand leaves bigger, bouncier curls in my hair. So happy!

Now I have 2 wands for the price of 1. Love that!

Just altered a regular curling iron to get bigger, bouncier curls.
