Workout Wednesday:Junk Food Binge

I don’t need to tell you all the reasons why we shouldn’t eat junk food. I know it’s wrong – you know it’s wrong but we ALL still do it.

This past vacation up at the cottage was no different. I was on a junk food binge. I hate thinking about what I did to my body. Between all the beer, wine, nibs, cupcakes, chips, cookies, etc…my stomach has never been more bloated. Okay I lie – it was when I was pregnant.

Speaking of pregnant, Angel # 1 actually said, “Mom your belly looks pregnant. Do you have a baby in there?” I said no that I just had vacation bloat from eating too much junk food this vacation. She laughed.

Below are a few very important reasons not to do what I just did…

- bad calories (no nutritional value)
- low in satiation value (we eat more of them because we don’t feel full)
- contain sugar, high fructose corn syrup, white flour and milled corn
- high in salt

I don’t think I need to go on. You get the point. I just wish I did. Damn – it tastes so good :( Time to up the ante and get my workouts on. Need to burn off these useless calories and start practicing healthier eating.

Shout out to the Hubby today – HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE! You look younger everyday.
