Is it Wednesday already? Here’s a mid-week general overall health tip for you.
I love peppermint tea. Like really love it. I drink a cup every night before bed while I watch TV. I find it relaxes me and settles my stomach after dinner. It also wards off my after dinner food cravings. Instead it leaves me feeling soothed and sleepy.
I decided I should read up on this caffeine free tea to see if what I feel is all in my head or actually beneficial. Either way, I guess it doesn’t really matter. But here goes…
Some studies show that drinking peppermint tea will relieve the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, intestinal gas and indigestion. It can control mild asthma cases, manage stress and ward off a cold.

Not only does peppermint tea help improve bad breath, but it’s the aroma that helps to reduce stress levels. Drinking a cup of this tea daily is supposed to help you get a better overall night’s rest.

Peppermint tea contains high doses of calcium, vitamin B and potassium. All these vitamins and minerals are necessary to maintain proper health.
I had no idea what I was doing was actually good for me. I just noticed that my stomach feels less bloated at night if I drink it, I feel calm and ready for bed.
