What’s kickin’ folks? Did you love your weekend?
What’s white, red and black all over? No – not the newspaper. It’s me silly with this week’s look.
The Husband and I had a spring fling to go to a few weeks back. It was an occasion to get dressed up and rock the town. Okay – we didn’t rock the town but it sounds fun!
We attended a fundraiser for the Angels’ school. It was held in our neighbourhood. We knew a number of parents there. Teachers were also there. I found this weird. I know teachers are people too who like to let loose but I felt like I was being watched.
I know my Angels have probably shared many embarrassing stories in the classroom about Mom and Dad. I felt like I had to be on my BEST behaviour.
I tried out false eyelashes for the second time. Good lord. How do the YouTube makeup artists out there apply them so effortlessly? Jeez man. I spent an hour trying to get these babies on.
One lash set went on my eye really well. It lined up perfectly with my lashline (after I cut them down to size). I didn’t notice it on my eye at all. The other eye – HEAVENS – I seriously almost glued by eye shut. No fun. The lash set didn’t align properly (you couldn’t tell) but I felt like it was pulling at my eyelid ALL FRIGGIN’ night long.
I swear the entire night I kept asking the Husband if my lashes were still on. I was worried one might start peeling away from my eye. All I wanted to do was rip it right off. It drove me crazy. It sure did look pretty though!
I think false lashes are too much work. I’m not sure how much time I will seriously spend perfecting the technique.
The dress, purse, belt, cuff and necklace are all from Forever21. The dress is made of lace. It’s ivory in colour and really pretty up close. The pumps are old. The jacket is really old.
All in all, the event was okay. I had more fun getting all dolled up. You like?
