Remember when I told you the Husband wanted to update his casual wardrobe? He asked me to be his fashion advisor. Well – I successfully updated his wardrobe. I spent less than $400 buying him the following:
- casual zipper sweater with hoodie
- leatherette jacket
- 1 pair casual shoes
- 3 button up shirts
- 3 t-shirts
- 2 pants (1 jean / 1 khaki)
We’re on a budget. The Husband refuses to spend a lot of money on clothing. I couldn’t convince him to go for the expensive Diesel jeans – still working on that one (no murse, hat or scarf either)! But I did have great luck finding off the rack purchases for him at H&M and Forever21. He’s got a great body – an “off-the-rack” body. My aunt Mich used to call it a “uni-bod”. He has the right proportions and looks good in just about anything.
I have to tell you though, I don’t enjoy shopping at the Forever21 store. In fact, I hate it. I can never find anything that I like. And, don’t even get me started on the mens section. It’s the size of my closet. I have the most success shopping online at canada.forever21.com.
For about a week I couldn’t buy anything online. I was super confused. Their website kept saying it was down. I called in and emailed. No one could explain to me what was happening. I was getting seriously bummed. One night lying in bed, I got this brilliant idea to create a “new” user identity and to my surprise (and our visa) it worked. Thus I managed to buy some staples for the Husband’s wardrobe.
I did so well with his purchases. I can create multiple looks. I wish I could do the same with my wardrobe. I definitely think he’s got the look. He needs to work on his modelling skills. He’s a little stiff. I, on the other hand, am terrible at picture taking. I need to brush up on my photography skills.
