Olay Pro-X Review

I‘ve had my eye on the Clarisonic for quite some time now. Everything I read suggests the Clarisonic is a miracle worker. What does it do? Well, it cleans the face (electronic toothbrush style). Unfortunately, the Clarisonic also comes with a big price tag…like $100 and up. So I knew it was out of the question!

About a week ago, I was browsing some blogs, like I always do and came across a similar product, called Olay Pro-X. Guess what? It only costs $34 and virtually does the same thing as the Clarisonic (or so the write-ups say).

I went down to my local pharmacy and bought one (feeling NO GUILT). I came home and have been using it ever since. I.LOVE.IT.

I can’t say for sure if it’s as good as the Clarisonic, but I can tell you that my face has never felt better.

I have a strict bedtime regiment that I stick to religiously. Every night, I use eye make-up remover to take off any mascara. I then wipe down my entire face with a baby wipe to get rid of excess make-up and dirt. Then I wash my face with Cetaphil and moisture (eye cream & face cream – Clarins).

Now instead of just washing my face with Cetaphil, I use the Olay Pro-X. Let me tell you…it exfoliates your face wonderfully. It’s as though I’ve had a facial. Seriously – my face feels so GREAT after.

I’ve only been using the device for about 8 days now…so I don’t know the long term benefits of it. It’s supposed to diminish the look of pores – I’m not sure I can tell the difference yet. I do though notice how well my moisturizer absorbs into the skin after cleansing with the Olay Pro-X. I haven’t experienced any rashes, redness or outbreaks from it either.

The Olay Pro-X takes 2 batteries. It’s light-weight, and portable (easy for packing). It’s waterproof, so you can bring it into the shower. And, it’s so simple to use!

That said, if you can’t afford the Clarisonic and want to try something new (or add something new to your beauty routine), try the Olay Pro-X. It’s well worth the $34.

Disclosure: I’m not being paid to advertise this product (although I wish I were). This is an honest review.
