DIY Week: Day 1

While The Husband and I are away this week, I thought I’d leave you with some DIY projects I came across before we left. Don’t hate on me because I’m away. Keep yourselves busy with my DIY themed week. Go ahead – try some of them :)

Today’s theme – Nail Art. You all know how obsessed I am with nail polish. Here’s a fun art project – I plan on trying when I get back!

Step 1 – clear base coat / apply to nails
Step 2 – pick 2 of your favourite glitter nail polishes

Step 3 – Starting from the edge of the nail, apply the first coloured glitter until the middle of the nail. The glitter goes on thick near the tips and slowly decreases in intensity. Dab wand to achieve desired effect.
Step 4 - When the first coat is almost dry, apply the second colour only to the tips of your nails. Again dabbing it on until desired intensity.
Step 5 – Paint on the top coat and wait for your nails to dry fully!

You can also refer to OPI’s website for awesome tips on applying nail polish properly. You can also check out their AWESOME selection of colours. I’m partial to “So Many Clowns…So Little Time”.
