DIY: Nail Art

I love changing my nail polish colour. It’s an obsession of mine. I love buying new nail polish colours as well – always adding to my ever growing collection.

I was practicing nail art on my fingers the other day. See results below.

Do you know how challenging it is to take a photograph of one hand while holding the camera in the other? Damn near impossible to focus.

My nails are still a work in progress. I have to work on steadying my hand. I’m attempting all kinds of new techniques – looking for the perfect holiday nail look.

Vanessa, love your funky nails, always something different every Sunday.
But what I really want to know is how do you prevent your manicure from chipping? Mine gets ruined, especially from the pool, need tips!

Hire a maid to do all the dish washing, diaper changing, etc… :) The only way to prolong chipping is an undercoat & top coat. Even then – it still chips. My manicure has to be changed every 2 days (especially if I wear dark colours). You can go longer without changing polish when you only use light colours. I haven’t found the magic trick yet. Still on the hunt!

My manicure lasts a good week. I recommend trying OPI Drip Dry drops after applying a good quality base and top coat. It also helps if the nail colour polish is fresh (not thikened). Good luck !
