DIY: Ballerina Flats

Remember how I’ve been lusting over these Cheetah flats? I’ve been dying to own a pair. I’m not sure why – I already own a TON of shoes…but for some reason, a woman can never have enough shoes, right?

I’m all about leopard and cheetah prints this fall – like all over them. Angel # 1 has been salvating over the prints for years now. Who knew she was ahead of the curve!?!

Anyhow, I was out Christmas shopping about a week ago. I was walking by Payless and stopped in – JUST for browsing – I promise :)

When suddenly the lights dimmed, beautiful music came to my ears and an aura surrounded the most beautiful looking pair of ballerina flats. They were calling my name, “Vanessa, Vanessa – you have to take me home”.

I found the perfect pair of Cheetah ballerina flats. The best part, I didn’t have to pay a ridiculous price for them and they came in my size. I found them in the kids’ section no less and only paid $16.99. Now if that’s not meant to be – I don’t know what is.

I really didn’t like the red bows on the flats so I decided to try my own DIY project. I removed the bows (saved for later – I might try this on another pair of flats down the road as done here.)

See the before and after results below:

I’m one happy girl!

Yah – but the red bows limit what I can wear them with. This way I have more options!
